K-Pop Pre-Order Benefit Photocards: Which Korean Stores (2026)

By HaulKorea · Last checked 2026-10-15

A K-pop pre-order benefit (POB) is an extra item, usually a photocard, that one store gives with an album on top of what is inside the box. In Korea, album retailers such as Aladin and YES24 each print their own store-only photocard sets, so the same album comes with a different card depending on where you buy it. Buyers abroad get them by ordering from that exact store, directly where it ships overseas or through an agent.

This guide explains what a POB is, which Korean stores give them, what the real October 2026 listings look like, and how to order one from outside Korea without losing the card.

Quick facts
Korean term 특전 (teukjeon, store benefit); 미공포 (migongpo, "unreleased photocard")
What it usually is One random photocard per album, sometimes a set, poster or bookmark
Example stores Aladin, YES24, Weverse Shop, Withmuu, agency shops
Example (Aladin) NMIXX "Strange Muse" SAGA Ver., ₩14,900, Aladin photocard 1 of 6 random (as of October 2026)
Example (YES24) Same album, same version, ₩14,900, YES24 photocard 1 of 6 random (as of October 2026)
How long it lasts Often "until stock runs out" from the pre-order start
Chart counting Aladin and YES24 say their sales count toward Hanteo and Circle charts
Fansign and lucky draw entries Tied to the buyer's own account and ID, not transferable
Resale route Photocard marketplaces such as Pocamarket

What is a K-pop pre-order benefit (POB)?

A POB is a gift a store adds to an album order. It is separate from the "inclusions," the photocards and postcards printed inside the album by the label. Korean product pages call it 특전 (teukjeon), which simply means "special benefit."

The most common POB is a photocard of one member, picked at random from a set. Fans often call these 미공포 (migongpo), short for 미공개 포토카드 (migonggae potokadeu, unreleased photocard), because each store's photos are not used anywhere else. That is the whole point: a card that exists only through one store.

Other POBs you will see on Korean pages:

  • A full photocard set (common for Season's Greetings)
  • A folded or rolled poster, often marked 초도 한정 (chodo hanjeong, first press only)
  • A bookmark, sticker or polaroid-style card
  • An entry into a lucky draw or fansign event (covered separately below, because it works differently)

Why do fans care so much?

Because each card is tied to one store and one release, sets become collectible. A fan who wants every member's card from every store has to buy several copies from several shops. That is also why the same album can show up in many store listings on the same day with a different benefit line under each.

Which Korean stores give pre-order benefits?

Most big album sellers in Korea attach their own benefits to new releases. Here is what we found on the stores' own pages when we checked on October 15, 2026.

Store What we saw Ships abroad itself?
Aladin (aladin.co.kr) "알라딘 특전 포토카드" on most new K-pop listings, photocard sets on 2027 Season's Greetings See our Aladin guide
YES24 (yes24.com) "YES24 특전 포토카드" on album listings, plus first-press posters on some Product page says overseas shipping is available; a separate YES24 Global store sells in USD
Weverse Shop Store events such as video call fansigns for specific product listings Sells overseas through Weverse Global; country limits apply per product
Withmuu Album store with an English site and EMS delivery; known for events Yes, by EMS
Agency shops (SMTOWN &STORE, JYP, YG SELECT) Benefits vary by release Check each store's own shipping page

Aladin

Aladin is a Korean online bookstore that also sells music, and its pre-order music page is full of store benefits. On October 15, 2026, its 예약음반 (yeyak eumban, pre-order albums) list showed these lines:

  • NMIXX mini album "Strange Muse" (SAGA Ver.), ₩14,900: "Aladin benefit photocard (1 random of 6) given separately"
  • NMIXX "Strange Muse" (Light Ver.), ₩41,600: same 1-of-6 photocard
  • NMIXX "Strange Muse" POCAALBUM two-version set, ₩23,800: 2 random photocards of 6 plus one polaroid-style photocard
  • Stray Kids 2027 Season's Greetings "Paper Tale," ₩45,000: an Aladin photocard set of 8 cards
  • TWICE 2027 Season's Greetings "Spotless," ₩45,000: an Aladin photocard set of 9 cards
  • NMIXX 2027 Season's Greetings, ₩45,000: an Aladin photocard set of 6 cards
  • An i-dle Seoul concert Blu-ray, ₩59,000: a first-press photocard, 1 random of 5

All prices are Aladin's discounted prices as of October 2026.

The NMIXX product page gives the rules. The benefit runs "from 12:00 on September 21, 2026, until stock runs out." The album itself was listed for October 19 shipping. The page also states that Aladin is a member of the Hanteo family, so purchases count toward the Hanteo chart, and that purchases count toward the Circle Chart sales tally.

YES24

YES24 attaches its own photocards to the same releases, with different photos. On its search page for "Strange Muse" on October 15, 2026:

YES24 listing (NMIXX "Strange Muse") Price (as of October 2026) YES24 benefit
SAGA Ver. ₩14,900 Photocard, 1 random of 6
Standard, 1 of 2 versions at random ₩17,800 Photocard, 1 random of 6, plus a first-press poster
2-version set ₩35,600 2 random photocards of 6, a bookmark, 2 first-press posters
POCAALBUM Ver., 1 of 2 at random ₩11,900 Photocard, 1 random of 6
POCAALBUM 2-version set ₩23,800 2 random photocards, a bookmark
Light Ver. ₩41,600 Photocard, 1 random of 6
LP Ver. 2-version set ₩109,800 2 random photocards, a bookmark

The SAGA Ver. product page lists a release date of October 19, 2026, and says random items are packed "with equal probability." It also notes that YES24 album sales count toward the Hanteo and Circle charts, and that overseas shipping is available. It did not give an end date for the benefit or say whether a cancelled order keeps its place in line.

Posters on YES24 ship rolled in a tube by default, according to the store's poster note. If an unfolded poster matters to you, it adds a long tube to the parcel, which affects box size.

YES24 also runs a separate English store, YES24 Global, priced in US dollars. When we checked its home page, album titles there did not carry benefit notes. So if the YES24 card is the reason you are buying, check the global listing carefully or buy from the Korean site. Our YES24 guide covers the two stores.

Weverse Shop

Weverse Shop sells albums and merch for artists on the Weverse platform, and it runs store events rather than just printed photocards. Its event rules are a good example of how benefits can be tied to a region and a person.

A BOYNEXTDOOR notice for a video call fansign in September 2026 said that only buyers of two named product listings "on Weverse Global during the event period" could apply. Applicants had to use the same Weverse account that bought the album, the applicant and winner details had to match, and winners needed a photo ID with the same English name. The notice also said the product could not be bought or entered with a shipping address in the United States.

That is a very different thing from a photocard POB. An event entry belongs to the person who bought and applied. Nobody else can win it for you.

Withmuu and agency shops

Withmuu is a Korean album retailer with an English site. Its English usage guide asks overseas members to sign up with an email address and lists EMS as its courier. Its menu has a dedicated events section, separate from regular album listings.

Agency stores such as SMTOWN &STORE, YG SELECT and JYP's shop set their own benefits release by release, so check each listing.

Is a POB the same at every store?

No. That is the main thing to understand before you order.

The NMIXX example shows it clearly. The same SAGA Ver. album cost ₩14,900 at both Aladin and YES24 on the same day, and both gave "1 random photocard of 6." But they are two different sets of six photos. Buying from Aladin gets you an Aladin card. Buying from YES24 gets you a YES24 card.

A few other differences to watch:

  • Sets vs singles. Set listings often add a bookmark, poster or extra card that single copies do not get. Buying two singles is not the same as buying the set.
  • Version matters. POCAALBUM and LP versions sometimes get a different benefit line from the standard CD.
  • Global vs Korean store. The same retailer's English store may not show the same benefit. Check the listing you are actually buying.
  • Random means random. "1 random of 6" means you cannot choose the member. Stores do not exchange a card because it is not your bias.

How long do pre-order benefits last?

Benefits are limited by time, by stock, or both. On Aladin's NMIXX page, the photocard benefit started at noon on September 21, 2026, and ran "until stock runs out," with no fixed end date. YES24's SAGA Ver. page did not give an end date at all.

In practice, that means:

  1. Earlier is safer. A benefit marked "until stock runs out" can end any day after release.
  2. First-press items end first. Anything marked 초도 한정 (first press only), like YES24's posters, is limited to the first production run.
  3. The page can change. Stores update benefit lines when stock ends. Check the product page on the day you order, not a screenshot from last week.
  4. Release dates can slip. YES24's page warns that releases can be delayed by the label. A delay does not cancel your order, but it moves everything later.

Our Korean pre-orders guide explains 예약판매 (yeyak panmae, pre-order sales) in more detail.

What words should you look for on a Korean album page?

Korean store pages are dense, but the benefit details always sit in a few predictable words.

Korean Romanization Meaning
특전 teukjeon Store benefit
미공포 migongpo Unreleased photocard (store-only photo)
포토카드 / 포카 potokadeu / poka Photocard
랜덤 raendeom Random
6종 중 1종 yukjong jung iljong 1 of 6 types
별도증정 byeoldo jeungjeong Given separately (outside the album)
초도 한정 chodo hanjeong First press only
수량 소진시까지 suryang sojinsi kkaji Until stock runs out
예약판매 yeyak panmae Pre-order sale
세트 / SET seteu Set of versions
럭키드로우 leokki deurou Lucky draw
팬사인회 paen sainhoe Fansign event

When a listing says "알라딘 특전 포토카드(6종 중 1종 랜덤) 별도증정," you can now read it: Aladin's own photocard, one random card from six types, given separately from the album.

Can you get Korean POBs from outside Korea?

Yes, in most cases, but the route depends on the store.

Buy direct first. Some stores already sell to you. Weverse Shop sells through Weverse Global (with per-product country limits), Withmuu has an English site with EMS, YES24 says its listing ships overseas, and YES24 Global sells in dollars. If the store ships to your country and the benefit applies to your order, ordering direct is the simplest path.

Use an agent when the store will not ship to you, or when you want several stores in one box. Collectors often want the Aladin card, the YES24 card and another store's card for the same album. Three separate international parcels cost more than one combined box. A purchasing agent buys from each Korean store, collects the parcels in Korea, and ships once.

Do not use an agent for events. Fansigns, video calls and lucky draws are tied to the buyer's account and ID. The Weverse notice above is explicit about matching names and photo ID. An agent's account cannot win a fansign for you.

Buy direct You buy, we ship (package forwarding) We buy for you (HaulKorea)

How to order an album with a POB through HaulKorea

  1. Pick the store by its card. Decide which store's photocard you want. Look at the listing, not a fan account's summary.
  2. Copy the exact listing link. Single versions, random versions and sets are separate listings with different benefits.
  3. Write the version and quantity. For example: "Aladin, NMIXX Strange Muse SAGA Ver., 2 copies, Aladin photocard."
  4. Send us the product link early. Say that the benefit is the reason you are ordering. If the benefit line is gone when we place the order, we tell you before buying, and you decide.
  5. Review one total before paying. You see the album price, Korean delivery and international shipping together. You pay once with PayPal. If the real weight is lower, we refund the difference, and there is no second charge.
  6. We order on release schedule. Pre-orders ship from the store on or after the release date, so your box waits for the latest item in it.
  7. Check the inspection photos. When the albums reach our warehouse, we photograph them with the benefit envelopes before shipping. This is when to spot a missing card.
  8. Combine with other stores if you want. Add Season's Greetings, lightsticks or merch from other Korean shops into the same box. See how combining orders works.

What we cannot promise

  • We cannot choose which member's card comes out of a random set.
  • We cannot guarantee a benefit that ends before the order is placed.
  • We cannot enter fansigns, video calls or lucky draws for you.
  • We do not open sealed albums to check inclusions unless you ask, because opening changes return eligibility.

How do POBs affect shipping weight and cost?

A photocard weighs almost nothing. The album is what you pay to ship. Aladin lists the NMIXX SAGA Ver. at 400g with a short story booklet, CD, postcard, bookmark and photocard inside. Ten copies are already four kilograms before packing.

Things that add size more than weight:

  • Posters in tubes. YES24 rolls posters in a tube by default. A long tube can push a parcel into a larger size band.
  • LP versions. Vinyl is heavier and needs a bigger, flatter box.
  • Season's Greetings boxes. They are bulky, with calendars and diaries inside.

If you only want the card, ask yourself whether an album you will not play is worth its shipping. Sometimes it is, sometimes the resale route is cheaper.

Is it cheaper to buy the photocard alone on resale?

Sometimes. Once a benefit has ended, the only way to get it is resale. Pocamarket is a Korean photocard marketplace that ships abroad itself. Its fee page lists Express at $30 and K-Packet at $12 to the United States, with about 190 destinations in its table. See our Pocamarket guide.

Things to check on resale:

  • Store name on the listing. Sellers name cards by store, for example "알라딘 미공포." Make sure it matches the photo of the card you want.
  • Condition photos. Look for close-ups of corners and the surface.
  • Fakes. Printed copies of popular cards exist. Our guide on avoiding fake Korean products has general checks.

If you want one specific card for one specific member, resale gives certainty that a random store benefit cannot. If you want the album too, or you collect full sets, buying during the pre-order is usually better value.

Do you pay customs on K-pop albums?

It depends on your country and the order value, not on the photocard.

United States. Duty-free de minimis treatment for parcels of $800 or less has been suspended for imports from all countries since August 29, 2025, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. A February 2026 executive order kept the suspension in place, and Congress has repealed the exemption by law from July 1, 2027. For US orders through HaulKorea, duty is not included in the total; the recipient pays it to the carrier or postal service on delivery. Our US import duty guide has the details.

Other countries. The recipient pays local VAT or GST and any duty when the parcel arrives, and the carrier may add a handling fee. Check your country's threshold before ordering a large set. Country guides for the UK and Canada explain the local rules.

Common mistakes with K-pop POBs

Ordering the wrong listing. The random single, the set and the event album are three separate products. Only the listing you buy carries its benefit line.

Assuming the global store matches. The English store of the same retailer may not attach the same card. Read the listing you are paying for.

Waiting until release week. "Until stock runs out" can end soon after release, especially for popular groups.

Expecting to pick a member. Random means random. Buy more copies or go to resale for a specific member.

Buying an event album for the card. Event listings are separate products with their own rules, and some are tied to the buyer's account. Read the page, and ask us before you order.

FAQ

What does POB mean in K-pop?

POB stands for pre-order benefit. It is an extra item, usually a photocard, that a store gives with an album bought during its pre-order or event period. In Korean it is called 특전 (teukjeon).

Is the POB inside the album?

No. Store benefits are given separately, which is why Korean listings say 별도증정 (given separately). The photocards inside the album are the label's own inclusions and are the same at every store.

Do Aladin and YES24 give the same photocard?

No. Each store prints its own set. On October 15, 2026, both stores sold NMIXX "Strange Muse" SAGA Ver. for ₩14,900 with "1 random photocard of 6," but the photos in each set are different.

When does a pre-order benefit end?

It depends on the store. Aladin's NMIXX benefit ran from September 21, 2026 "until stock runs out," and YES24's page gave no end date. Order early and check the product page the day you buy.

Can HaulKorea enter a fansign or lucky draw for me?

No. Event entries are tied to the buyer's own account, and winners must show a photo ID that matches the application. Buy event albums on your own account if you plan to attend.

Does YES24 Global give the same benefits?

Not always. When we checked, album titles on YES24 Global did not show benefit notes, while the same albums on the Korean YES24 site did. Check the listing you are buying.

Can I choose which member's photocard I get?

No. Store benefits marked "random" are packed at random. If you need one specific member's card, a photocard marketplace such as Pocamarket is the more reliable route.

Can you combine albums from several Korean stores in one box?

Yes. HaulKorea can buy from Aladin, YES24 and other Korean shops, hold the parcels at our warehouse until the last pre-order arrives, and ship them in one box. Send all the product links together and ask for one combined total.
