How to Buy K-pop Photocards from Pocamarket from Overseas (2026 Guide)
You can buy from Pocamarket (포카마켓) from overseas without an agent. Pocamarket runs a global app and website that sell inspected photocards stored in its Korean warehouse and ship them to more than 150 countries. That is the route to use. HaulKorea does not buy photocards on Pocamarket, and we say so here so you do not waste time asking. This guide explains how the global service works, the rules that catch people out (no cancellations, a seven-day defect window, an unboxing video), how the Korean app differs, and what HaulKorea can do for a K-pop order instead.

What is Pocamarket and why do collectors use it?
Pocamarket is a marketplace for one thing: the photocards that come inside K-pop albums and merchandise. It is operated by Infludeo, a Korean company. The company's own profile describes about 1.1 million members in Korea and about 500,000 overseas, with roughly 500,000 trades a month.
Photocards are an awkward product to trade. They are small, easy to damage, easy to counterfeit with a scanner, and sold card by card between strangers. On general resale apps a buyer has to judge a seller from a few photos and hope the card arrives flat.
Pocamarket's answer is a warehouse in the middle. Under its 입고판매 (ipgo panmae, stock-in sale) model, sellers send batches of cards to Pocamarket's inspection center. Staff check each card against a written condition standard and store it. Buyers then purchase from that inspected stock. The global app description sums up the promise as no scans and no scratches, with more than 480,000 verified cards listed.
The second feature collectors like is the Collect Book. Cards you buy stay in Pocamarket's storage with no time limit and no storage fee. When you are ready, you request one shipment for many cards and pay international shipping once.
Can you buy from Pocamarket directly from overseas?
Yes, through the global service. This is the honest starting point: if the card you want is listed there, buy it there.
How it works, according to Pocamarket's usage guide:
- Search for the card by group, member, and album version.
- Pay by wallet (a balance you top up in advance), card, or quick pay.
- The card goes into your Collect Book.
- Request shipping whenever you like and choose a method for your country.
Prices are set by the Korean sellers, not by Pocamarket, so the same card can show several prices. The official guide gives a starting point of about USD 2.50 per card.
Shipping. There are two methods. Express takes 5–7 days. K-Packet, a tracked service of Korea Post, takes 10–14 days and is available for selected countries. Pocamarket says it prepares a shipment and hands it to the carrier within five days of your request, and that tracking may take two to three days to appear. Fees depend on the country. Pocamarket's shipping-fee page listed these as of October 2026: United States, Express USD 30 or K-Packet USD 12; United Kingdom, USD 28 or USD 10; Canada, USD 30 or USD 11; Australia, USD 31 or USD 9; Japan, USD 24 or USD 9; Singapore, USD 19 or USD 9. Germany and France show K-Packet only, at USD 10. The Philippines shows Express only, at USD 15. Many smaller markets have Express only, at USD 45.
Limits. One shipment holds from 1 to 40 cards. Its FAQ states that combined shipping beyond that is not available.
Customs. Duties are not included in the shipping fee and may be charged by your country.
How the Korean Pocamarket app differs
Pocamarket also has a Korean-language app aimed at domestic users. It includes the same inspected stock, where 빠른구매 (ppareun gumae, quick purchase) lets a buyer pay immediately without messaging anyone. It also has features the global service is not built around:
- Automatic matching. A user enters the price and delivery method they want, and the app finds a trading partner.
- 포카톡 (Poca Talk). An in-app chat where buyer and seller exchange delivery details and video proof of the card.
- Market price data based on completed trades, and AI image search for identifying a card.
The distinction that matters is between warehouse stock and person-to-person trades. Warehouse stock has been inspected by Pocamarket. A matched trade through Poca Talk is closer to a normal secondhand deal: two individuals, a chat, and a card mailed in an envelope inside Korea. Those trades assume a domestic address and Korean-language chat. We could not confirm the Korean app's sign-up requirements or its fee table from official pages.
Ways to buy from Pocamarket, and the one that is not available
| 1. Global Pocamarket | 2. Korean app + forwarding address | 3. We buy for you (HaulKorea) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Available? | Yes | Only with your own Korean account | No. HaulKorea does not buy on Pocamarket |
| Who orders | You | You, on the Korean app | — |
| Korean account needed | No | Yes | — |
| Stock you reach | Inspected warehouse stock | Warehouse stock and person-to-person trades | — |
| Condition check | Pocamarket's inspection standard | Pocamarket's, for warehouse stock only | — |

| International shipping | Pocamarket, up to 40 cards per request | Forwarder | — |
| Best for | Everyone buying photocards from overseas | Collectors who kept a Korean account | New albums and merchandise from Korean stores |
Global Pocamarket is what we recommend. It is the official channel, the storage is free, the cards have been inspected, and it was built for overseas collectors.
The Korean app with a forwarder is only for people who already hold a working Korean account. Person-to-person trades there need Korean chat, back-and-forth on video proof, and a domestic address.
HaulKorea does not buy on Pocamarket. That covers matched trades with individual sellers through Poca Talk, and it covers single secondhand cards in general.
How to buy on Global Pocamarket, step by step
- Install the global app or open pocamarket.com and create an account. No Korean phone number is involved.
- Identify the exact card. Group, member, album, version, and whether it is an album card, a pre-order benefit, a lucky draw, or a broadcast card. Similar cards differ only by a small mark.
- Compare sellers. The same card is listed at several prices because each Korean seller sets their own.
- Read the condition standard before you pay. Purchases cannot be cancelled.
- Pay by wallet balance, card, or quick pay. The card moves into your Collect Book.
- Keep collecting. Storage has no time limit and no fee at present, so wait until you have enough cards to make one shipment worthwhile.
- Request shipping for up to 40 cards and choose Express or K-Packet.
- Record an unboxing video when the envelope arrives. You have seven days to report a defect.
Why HaulKorea does not buy photocards on Pocamarket
- Pocamarket already does the job. It inspects, stores, and ships worldwide. An agent in the middle would add cost and a second shipment for no benefit to you.
- Person-to-person trades cannot be quoted. A matched trade depends on a private seller replying in chat, sending video proof, and mailing an envelope. We cannot put a firm total or timing on that.
- We cannot authenticate a card. A photo from our warehouse shows scratches. It does not show whether a broadcast card is real.
- Nothing can be undone. Pocamarket purchases cannot be cancelled or refunded, and private sales have no return path.
HaulKorea does buy secondhand goods in two places: listings on Bunjang, and KREAM stock available for fast delivery. Pocamarket is not one of them.
What HaulKorea can do instead
New albums from Korean stores. Every sealed album comes with its random photocards inside, and many Korean retailers add their own pre-order benefit card during the pre-order window. If you want a card from a current release, buying the album new is often the direct way to get one. Paste the store's product address into our quote form. You see one total with international shipping included, pay once by PayPal, and get inspection photos before the parcel leaves Korea. Fees are on the pricing page.
Official merchandise. Lightsticks, season's greetings, and other goods that Korean online stores sell new.
One box for several stores. You can hold purchases at our Korean warehouse and ship them together, for example albums from two shops plus Starbucks Korea cups.
Then fill the gaps on Pocamarket. Buy the specific member's card you still need on the global app. It will arrive separately, shipped by Pocamarket.
What does it cost?
On the Pocamarket side:
| Cost | What the official FAQ says |
|---|---|
| Card price | Set by each Korean seller; from about USD 2.50 |
| Wallet top-up | Pocamarket charges no top-up fee |
| Payment fee | Charged by the payment gateway |
| Storage | Free, no time limit at present |
| International shipping | By country and method; 1–40 cards per shipment |
| Customs | Not included |
We did not find a published percentage for a buyer service fee, and third-party write-ups disagree. Look at the final amount on the checkout screen, not the card price, when you compare sellers.
Because shipping is charged per request and each request can hold up to 40 cards, the cost per card falls the longer you wait. Free storage is what makes that possible.
What do collectors buy on Pocamarket?
- Album photocards. The standard random cards from each album version. The cheapest category, and where the from-USD-2.50 price point applies.
- Pre-order benefit cards (POBs). Given by specific retailers during the pre-order window. Each store has its own design, so supply is thin.
- Lucky draw cards. Distributed through in-store draw events in Korea. Among the harder cards to find abroad.
- Fan sign and broadcast cards. Given to attendees at events and music show recordings. Rare, expensive, and the category where authenticity matters most.
- Season's greetings and membership kit cards. Annual sets tied to fan club products.
- Mystery packs. Pocamarket sells its own randomized packs on the global service.
- Special finishes. Matte, transparent, and lenticular cards. Note that Pocamarket's condition standard tolerates minor scratches on these materials.
Things that go wrong (and how to avoid them)
You cannot cancel. Pocamarket's Buy & Refund FAQ states that a purchase cannot be cancelled once made, because payment is settled with the Korean seller immediately. Check the version twice before paying.
"Inspected" does not mean flawless. The published condition standard accepts scratches, imprints, or press marks under 10mm on the face, roller marks from printing, slight bending from the nature of the paper, minor scuffs on glossy cards, and small cutting or color differences from production. If you collect only mint cards, read that standard first.
The defect window is seven days, and it needs video. Claims must be filed within seven days of arrival. Pocamarket asks for an unboxing video that is uninterrupted, under 1GB, and shows the defect clearly. Start recording before you open the envelope.
Wallet balance is not freely refundable. A top-up can be cancelled only in full, only within seven days, and only if none of it was spent. Top up what you plan to use.
Carts expire. Items left in the cart are removed after 30 days of inactivity, and another buyer can take the card in the meantime.
Wrong version. Many cards share a photo across versions and differ by a logo, a border, or the back design. Compare the back as well as the front.
QR codes. Pocamarket does not verify whether a QR code on a card has been used.
Authenticity on person-to-person trades. For cards bought outside the inspected stock, nobody in the chain certifies the card. This is one reason HaulKorea stays out of those trades.
Returns, condition, and customs
Photocards are not refundable on Pocamarket after purchase, and a secondhand card bought from an individual is not returnable either. The checkpoint that exists is Pocamarket's own inspection before a card enters its stock, and the seven-day defect claim after delivery. A return for any other reason would mean international postage on an item that may be worth less than the stamp.
Customs depend on the destination. Photocards are low in value and weight, but they are still imports. Pocamarket's FAQ says customs duties are separate from its shipping fee, so anything your country charges is paid by you.
For albums and merchandise ordered new through HaulKorea, the rules are different. US-bound orders have import duty included in the total and nothing is due on delivery. For other countries, duty and tax are not included and the recipient pays.
