The best-known Korean kitchenware brands are Lock&Lock (food containers), Happycall (pans) and Cuckoo (rice cookers), plus the traditional ttukbaegi earthenware pot. Lock&Lock and Cuckoo already sell abroad, through Lock&Lock's overseas companies and Cuckoo's own US store, so check those first. Non-electric items like pans, containers and pots are worth ordering from Korea. Electric items are built for Korea's 220V supply, so ask us before you order one.
This guide covers what each brand sells, Korean prices as of October 2026, how weight and size affect shipping, and the 220V rule for electric kitchen items.

Which Korean kitchenware brands are worth knowing?
Four names come up again and again for buyers abroad.
| Brand or item | Korean name | Known for | Electric? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lock&Lock | 락앤락 | Airtight food containers, tumblers, lunch boxes, also pans and small appliances | Some lines |
| Happycall | 해피콜 | Frying pans, woks, the double-sided fish pan (양면팬) | Mostly no |
| Cuckoo | 쿠쿠 | Rice cookers, including pressure and IH models | Yes |
| Ttukbaegi | 뚝배기 | Earthenware pot for stews and steamed egg | No |
Each has a different answer to "should I order this from Korea?", so we go through them one by one.
Can you buy Lock&Lock outside Korea?
Yes, in many countries. Lock&Lock's global network page lists subsidiaries in the US (LOCK&LOCK USA, INC.), Germany, China, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. It lists its own online malls for Korea, China, Vietnam, Germany and Thailand, and says it is expanding into US retailers such as Target, Macy's, Costco and Amazon. It also cites more than 1,300 retail channels across 20 countries in the Middle East and Africa.
So if you want standard Lock&Lock containers, check your local Lock&Lock store or retailers first.
The Korean mall, locknlockmall.com, makes sense when you want Korea-only lines, collaborations (the Korean mall had a Snoopy line among its brand tabs), or Korean pricing on sale.
Lock&Lock prices in Korea
From the Korean Lock&Lock mall on October 15, 2026:
| Product | List price | Sale price (as of October 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Easy-cook glass casserole 2L | ₩15,200 | ₩10,600 |
| Suit Brick IH saucepan 18cm | ₩52,800 | ₩37,000 |
| Hard & Light IH Pro wok 28cm | ₩42,800 | ₩21,400 |
| Suit Brick IH multi pan 22cm | ₩40,700 | ₩28,500 |
| School Fit My Pick dual-cap tumbler 350ml | ₩35,700 | ₩21,400 |
| Egg case, large | ₩6,700 | ₩4,700 |
| Mini portion containers 80ml, set of 4 | ₩3,000 | ₩2,100 |
| Kitchen scissors 21cm | ₩3,900 | ₩2,700 |
Many prices on the mall were around 30% off on that day. The mall also advertised a new-member coupon pack. Discounts change, so check the product page when you order.
Note that "IH" in a product name means the pan works on induction hobs. It is not an electric product itself.
How much are Happycall pans in Korea?
Happycall is a Korean cookware brand whose range includes nonstick pans, woks, egg roll pans and a double-sided fish pan. When we searched, its pans were sold on Korean marketplaces through several sellers. On 11st, a seller labeled as a Happycall certified store (해피콜공식인증판매점) listed these prices, as of October 2026:
| Happycall product on 11st | Price |
|---|---|
| All New Comfort Diamond IH pan 24cm | ₩19,900 |
| All New Comfort Diamond IH pan 28cm | ₩22,900 |
| All New Comfort Diamond IH 28cm deep pan (궁중팬) | ₩25,900 |
| 2-piece set: 24cm pan + 28cm pan | ₩40,900 |
| 2-piece set: 28cm pan + 28cm wok | ₩40,900 (list ₩58,420) |
Search results on 11st also showed other Happycall listings, such as the Flex Pan IH 20cm at about ₩15,900 to ₩16,900 and the double-sided fish pan (국민 양면팬) at ₩44,900, from different sellers.
Two cautions:
- Seller-specific conditions. The 2-piece listing above showed a popup saying it was only for 11st's paid membership members. Marketplace deals can carry conditions like this.
- Prices vary by seller. The same pan can appear at different prices from different sellers. Compare before ordering.
See our 11st store guide for how the marketplace works.
What is a ttukbaegi, and how much does it cost?
A ttukbaegi (뚝배기) is a glazed earthenware pot used to cook and serve bubbling stews, soups and steamed egg. It goes straight from the heat to the table and keeps food hot.
Daiso Korea sells many sizes cheaply. From Daiso Mall's search on October 15, 2026, with 115 results for "뚝배기":
| Daiso Mall item | Price (as of October 2026) |
|---|---|
| Ttukbaegi with lid 14cm | ₩5,000 |
| Ttukbaegi 16cm | ₩5,000 |
| Ttukbaegi 12.5cm | ₩3,000 |
| Omogari ttukbaegi 15.5cm | ₩5,000 |
| Direct-flame ttukbaegi 17.5cm | ₩5,000 |
| Ttukbaegi No. 3, 13.5cm | ₩3,000 |
Notice that one listing is specifically labeled "직화 가능" (jikhwa ganeung, direct flame OK). Read each listing to see what heat sources it is made for. A Daiso reviewer noted the pot did not work on induction, so do not assume it will.
The price is tiny. The problem is shipping: earthenware is heavy, bulky and fragile. A ₩5,000 pot can cost several times its price to send abroad, and it needs careful packing. See our Daiso store guide for buying from Daiso Mall.
Can you use Korean electric kitchen appliances abroad?
This is the most important section. Korea's household power supply is 220V at 60Hz, and appliances sold in Korea are built for it.
You can see this on the product pages. Lock&Lock's "Smoke-catching Fast Cook Electric Grill" lists a rated voltage and power of "220V~, 60Hz / 1,000W," a Korean safety certification number, manufacture in China, and a one-year warranty from the date of purchase. Its list price was ₩198,000, on sale at ₩138,600 as of October 2026.
What this means if you live outside Korea:
- Check your own voltage. If your home supply is not around 220V, a 220V appliance will not work safely when plugged straight in.
- Check the frequency too. Korea uses 60Hz. Appliances with motors or timers can behave differently on a different frequency.
- Check the plug. Korean plugs have two round pins. An adapter changes the plug shape only. It does not change the voltage.
- Converters are a risk for high-power items. Grills, pressure rice cookers and kettles draw a lot of power. A voltage converter big enough for them is bulky and expensive.
- Warranty is local. The Lock&Lock grill's one-year warranty is from a Korean seller. Repairs usually mean sending the item back to Korea.
Our guide to Korean electronics and 220V covers plugs, converters and certification in more detail.
Portable gadgets raise a second question. Lock&Lock's mall also listed a portable vacuum blender (430ml, ₩62,900 on sale, list ₩89,900, as of October 2026). Portable kitchen gadgets may run on built-in rechargeable batteries, and batteries have their own air shipping rules on top of any voltage question. Check the product's information table for a battery line before you pick one.
Our position: we do not promise that any electric kitchen item is suitable for your country. If you want one, send us the product link and your country, and ask us before you order. We will check the rated voltage on the product page with you.
What about Cuckoo rice cookers?
Cuckoo is a Korean rice cooker brand, and it already sells in the US through its own store, cuckooamerica.com, with a footer reading "© 2026 CUCKOO America." Prices listed when we checked included:
- One-Touch Rice Cooker (CR-0601C): $39.99
- 10-Cup HP Pressure Rice Cooker (CRP-P1009S): $199.99 on sale, $279.99 regular
- 6-Cup IH Twin Pressure Rice Cooker (CRP-LHTAR0609F): $509.99 on sale, $599.99 regular
If you live in the US, buy a Cuckoo from the US store. It is sold for the US market and supported there. Ordering a Korean 220V model to the US would bring the voltage, warranty and shipping problems above, for a heavy item.
What Korean words appear on kitchenware listings?
The product information table at the bottom of a Korean listing (상품필수 정보 or 상품정보제공고시) tells you most of what you need. These are the lines to look for:
| Korean | Romanization | Meaning | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| 정격전압 | jeonggyeok jeonap | Rated voltage | If this line exists, the item is electric |
| 소비전력 | sobi jeollyeok | Power consumption (W) | High wattage needs a large converter |
| 인덕션 / IH | indeoksyeon | Induction compatible | Pan works on induction hobs |
| 직화 가능 | jikhwa ganeung | Direct flame OK | Safe on a gas flame |
| 재질 | jaejil | Material | Coating, glass, earthenware, stainless |
| 크기 | keugi | Size | Box size drives shipping cost |
| 제조원 / 제조국 | jejowon / jejoguk | Manufacturer / country of making | Origin can affect duty |
| 품질보증기준 | pumjil bojeung gijun | Warranty terms | Usually honored in Korea |
| 안전인증번호 | anjeon injeung beonho | Safety certification number | Korean certification for electric items |
Take the Lock&Lock electric grill again. Its table shows a metal body with fluororesin coating, a size of 505 × 272 × 116mm, a release month of May 2026, China as the place of manufacture, 220V~ 60Hz and 1,000W, a one-year warranty and a Korean safety certification number. That one table tells you it is electric, large, and supported in Korea.
Which Korean kitchen items make the most sense to order?
Based on prices and the rules above, here is how we would think about it:
- Good candidates: small Lock&Lock containers and Korea-only lines, Happycall pans if your country has no local seller, cooking utensils, scissors and Daiso kitchen gadgets. They are non-electric and pack well.
- Think about shipping first: glass casseroles, large woks, ttukbaegi pots and full pan sets. They are cheap in Korea but heavy, wide or fragile.
- Ask us before you order: anything with a rated voltage line, such as grills, blenders, kettles and rice cookers. Korean models are built for 220V.
- Buy locally instead: standard Lock&Lock containers and Cuckoo rice cookers where the brand already sells in your country.
How do weight and size affect the cost of kitchenware?
International shipping is charged by weight and box size. Kitchenware is where this hurts most, because many items are cheap but heavy or bulky.
| Item type | Price in Korea | Shipping impact |
|---|---|---|
| Small containers, utensils, scissors | ₩2,000 to ₩5,000 | Light and small. Good to add to a box. |
| Tumblers, egg cases | ₩4,700 to ₩21,400 | Light but bulky for their weight. |
| Pans and woks, 24 to 28cm | ₩19,900 to ₩40,900 | Wide and flat; handles add length. |
| Glass casseroles | About ₩10,600 | Heavy and fragile. |
| Ttukbaegi pots | ₩3,000 to ₩5,000 | Heavy, fragile, needs padding. |
| Electric appliances | ₩138,600 and up | Heavy, large box, plus the 220V issue. |
Practical tips:
- Nest items. Smaller pots and containers can sit inside larger ones. Ask us to pack them that way.
- Skip the gift boxes. Retail boxes add volume. If you do not need them, say so.
- Combine with light items. Kitchenware fills a box quickly by weight; adding clothes or cosmetics uses the space better than a second parcel. See how combining orders works.
- Do the math before buying cheap heavy things. A ₩3,000 pot is only a bargain if the shipping on it makes sense for you.
Buy direct, forward, or use an agent?
| Buy direct | You buy, we ship (package forwarding) | We buy for you (HaulKorea) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lock&Lock standard lines | Local Lock&Lock mall or retailers in many countries | Korean mall | Korean mall |
| Cuckoo rice cookers (US) | cuckooamerica.com, US models | Not recommended (220V) | Ask us before you order |

| Ttukbaegi and Daiso items | Rarely available | Daiso Mall | Daiso Mall |
| Korean account and payment | Not needed for local stores | Usually needed | Not needed |

How to order Korean kitchenware through HaulKorea
- Check local options first. For Lock&Lock and Cuckoo, see whether the brand sells in your country.
- Pick non-electric items where possible. Pans, containers and pots avoid the voltage problem.
- Copy each product link. Note size (for example 28cm), color and set option.
- Flag anything electric. If a listing has 정격전압 (rated voltage) on it, it is electric. Ask us before you order.
- Send us the links. Mention if you want items nested or retail boxes removed to save space.
- Review one total before paying. You see the item prices, Korean delivery and international shipping in one figure, and pay once with PayPal. If the real weight is lower, we refund the difference, and there is no second charge.
- Check the inspection photos. We photograph the items at our warehouse, which is when to spot a chipped pot or a dented pan.
- Receive your box. Fragile items are packed with padding for the trip.
Do you pay import tax on kitchenware from Korea?
United States. U.S. Customs and Border Protection suspended duty-free de minimis treatment for low-value shipments from all countries from August 29, 2025. For US orders through HaulKorea, duty is not included in the total; the recipient pays it to the carrier or postal service on delivery. See our US import duty guide.
Other countries. The recipient pays local VAT or GST and any duty on arrival, and the carrier may add a handling fee. Note that the Lock&Lock grill lists China as its place of manufacture. Some countries set duty by where an item was made, not where it was bought, so check the origin on the product page.
FAQ
What are the most popular Korean kitchenware brands?
Lock&Lock for airtight containers, Happycall for pans, and Cuckoo for rice cookers are the best-known. The ttukbaegi earthenware pot is a staple item rather than a brand.
Is Lock&Lock sold outside Korea?
Yes. Lock&Lock lists subsidiaries in the US, Germany, China, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia, its own online malls in several countries, and US retailers such as Target, Costco and Amazon. The Korean mall has Korea-only lines and Korean promotions.
Can I use a Korean rice cooker in the US?
Korean models are built for 220V, 60Hz. Cuckoo sells US models through cuckooamerica.com, which is the better choice for US buyers. Ask us before you order any Korean electric appliance.
How much is a ttukbaegi in Korea?
Daiso Mall sold ttukbaegi pots from ₩3,000 to ₩5,000 in sizes from 12.5cm to 17.5cm, as of October 2026. Shipping will usually cost more than the pot because it is heavy and fragile.
Are Happycall pans cheaper in Korea?
Korean marketplace prices are low: a Happycall Diamond IH 28cm pan was ₩22,900 on 11st in October 2026. Whether it is cheaper for you depends on shipping, since pans are wide and heavy.
Does a plug adapter make a Korean appliance work abroad?
No. An adapter only changes the plug shape. A 220V appliance needs a 220V supply or a suitable voltage converter, and high-power kitchen items need large converters.
What does IH mean on Korean pans?
IH stands for induction heating. On a pan, it means the pan works on induction hobs. It does not mean the pan is electric.
Can you combine kitchenware with other Korean orders?
Yes. HaulKorea can buy from Lock&Lock's mall, Daiso Mall and marketplaces, hold everything at our Korean warehouse, and pack it into one box. Send all the product links together and ask for one combined total.
