How to Buy from 10x10 (Tenbyten) Korea from Overseas (2026 Guide)

What is 10x10 and why do stationery fans want it?

10x10, read as tenbyten (텐바이텐), is one of Korea's longest-running online design stores. It started in the early 2000s as a place for small design studios to sell stationery and has stayed close to that identity. Its own site title lists diaries, stationery, keyrings, and character goods.

Ownership has changed. GS Retail sold its stake in December 2023 to Backpackr, the company behind the handmade marketplace idus. The site footer now names Backpackr as the operator. For shoppers the storefront works as before.

What makes 10x10 worth the trouble is who sells there. It is a marketplace for independent Korean stationery brands, the kind that make 다꾸 (dakku, short for diary decorating) supplies: kiss-cut sticker sheets, masking tape with removable shapes, six-ring refills, memo pads. Many of these studios are too small to export and do not appear on international marketplaces.

It also stocks imported stationery, such as Midori's MD notebooks from Japan, next to Korean brands. The value for an overseas buyer is the Korean side. A single 10x10 cart can cover a dozen small studios you would otherwise have to track down one by one.

Can you buy from 10x10 directly from overseas?

No. The store's FAQ rules it out at two points, and a third follows from them.

Account. The FAQ states that joining the site requires 본인인증 (bon-in injeung, identity verification) with a domestic mobile number. You can sign up with a general account or through Kakao, Apple, Google, Naver, or Facebook, but the Korean phone requirement applies to membership.

Payment. This is the clearest block. From 10 a.m. on March 23, 2023, 10x10 stopped accepting every brand of overseas-issued card. The remaining methods are Korean credit cards, the 10x10 check card, bank deposit, real-time account transfer, mobile phone billing, Naver Pay, PAYCO, Toss, Kakao Pay, Samsung Pay, PIN Pay, and convenience store payment. All of them assume a Korean bank account or phone contract.

Address. The help pages describe domestic parcel delivery only. We found no international shipping service and no global version of the store.

If you have seen older posts saying foreign cards work on 10x10, they predate the 2023 change.

Three ways to buy from 10x10

Direct	You buy, we ship (package forwarding)	We buy for you (HaulKorea)
Possible from overseas?	No	Only with a verified Korean phone and a Korean payment method	Yes
Who places the order	–	You	HaulKorea
Foreign card	Blocked since 2023	Blocked since 2023	Not needed; you pay by PayPal
Shipping bill	–	Separate, after the parcel is weighed	Included in one upfront total
Multiple brand parcels	–	Each arrives separately at the forwarder	Collected at our warehouse and sent as one box
Best for	Residents of Korea	Koreans abroad who kept their phone and bank account	Everyone else

Forwarding only helps people who can already pay on the site. Since the card block, that group is small: mostly Koreans living abroad who still have a domestic account and phone line.

A buying service is the realistic route for most overseas shoppers. With HaulKorea you paste product links, see a total that already includes international shipping, and pay once with PayPal. You do not need Korean, a Korean number, or a Korean card.

There is no official alternative to recommend here. 10x10 has no global store, and most of its small brands do not sell abroad themselves.

Step by step: ordering from 10x10 with HaulKorea

1. Find the item on 10x10.co.kr. Browser translation works for menus. Brand names are usually shown in English above the Korean product title.
2. Copy the product URL. 10x10 links end in an item number (itemid=), which identifies the exact listing.
3. Paste the links into the HaulKorea quote form.
4. Choose options and your country. Sticker sets and diaries often have several designs under one listing. Write the option name or number exactly. Note whether a diary is dated (날짜형) or undated (만년형).
5. Review the total. The quote lists item prices, each brand's domestic delivery fee where one applies, and international shipping, added into one amount.
6. Pay once with PayPal. The quote is final. If the real weight is lower than estimated, the shipping difference is refunded.
7. We buy and inspect. Brands ship separately to our Korean warehouse. Once everything is in, we send inspection photos.
8. We ship one box and send tracking. Delivery time:.

What it costs: shipping is charged per brand

10x10 does not have one shipping fee. Its FAQ describes three types: free delivery, conditional delivery, and cash on delivery. Which one applies depends on the product and on who ships it.

Items marked 텐텐배송 (tenten baesong, 10x10 delivery) ship from 10x10's own warehouse. They cost ₩3,000 to deliver, and delivery is free when 10x10-shipped items alone add up to ₩20,000 or more (as of October 2026). The Lucalab planner at the top of the best-seller list is one of these.

Other items ship straight from the brand under that brand's own conditions. One example we checked: a ₩19,000 item with a ₩2,500 delivery fee that becomes free only when you spend ₩30,000 or more on that same brand (as of October 2026). Spending ₩30,000 across five different brands does not qualify.

For a stationery order this matters a lot. Sticker sheets cost ₩5,000 to ₩7,000 each. If you pick one sheet from each of six studios, you may pay six delivery fees that together rival the cost of the stickers. Grouping purchases by brand, or favoring 텐텐배송 items, reduces that.

Large items such as furniture are often cash on delivery and have no tracking. They are not practical to export in any case.

International shipping is the kinder part. Paper goods are flat and light, and a lot of stickers fit in a small box. HaulKorea's fees and rates are on the pricing page.

What to buy from 10x10

These are from 10x10's own best-seller list on October 4, 2026, which was dominated by 2027 diary season. Prices are the discounted prices shown that day.

• Lucalab undated planner/notebook (핸디 만년형). ₩11,520, down from a list price of ₩12,800. A compact undated planner in three designs, top of the chart.
• Wannathis 2027 Delight Log slim diary. ₩8,960. A thin dated diary from a well-known Korean stationery studio.
• Be on D 2027 weekly scheduler. ₩8,925. A dated weekly planner.
• 7321 Design 2027 calendar sticker set. ₩5,850. Date stickers for turning any notebook into a planner.
• Kiss-cut masking tape. ₩6,500 to ₩6,650. Tape where each printed shape peels off like a sticker. Rhino Friends' Hangul-lettering tape and ddingddong's cat designs were both in the top ten.
• Illustrator sticker sheets. ₩5,700 to ₩6,650. DOMI WORLD and CATBBANG sheets ranked among the best sellers.
• Midori MD Notebook Diary 2027, A6. ₩36,000. A Japanese import, included here because it shows the range. You can likely find it closer to home.

The pattern is clear: small, flat, inexpensive items from independent Korean illustrators. For character plush and novelty gifts, look at Artbox or the Kakao Friends shop.

Things that go wrong (and how to avoid them)

Dated diaries are seasonal. By early October, 2027 diaries already filled the best-seller list. Popular covers can sell out before the year starts, and a dated diary bought in March has lost a quarter of its pages. Order dated items early.

Option sold out. A listing may show ten sticker designs with three unavailable. Give us a second choice so the order can go ahead.

Made-to-order and pre-order items. Some small brands print after you order, which adds days before the item even ships within Korea. 10x10 quotes 1 to 4 business days on average but notes that it varies. If you want one consolidated box, the slowest brand sets the pace.

Many small parcels. Each brand ships separately. We wait for all of them, then pack together. If one is delayed, tell us whether to hold or to ship what has arrived.

Marketplace sellers. 10x10 states that some listings come from individual sellers and that it acts as an intermediary for those. Quality control and response times can differ from brand to brand.

Items that cannot fly. The lifestyle sections include perfume, diffusers, candles with accessories, and battery gadgets. Carriers restrict several of these. Check our prohibited items list or ask before ordering.

Paper damage. Sticker sheets and notebooks bend. Inspection photos show their condition at the warehouse, and flat packing protects them in transit.

Returns and customs

10x10's product pages and its terms of use (Article 15) allow exchanges and returns within 7 days of delivery. For a change-of-mind return, round-trip shipping is deducted from the refund. For defective goods, the full amount including shipping is refunded. Customer service runs on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Korean time.

Those terms apply while the goods are in Korea. Once a parcel has crossed a border, sending back a ₩6,000 sticker sheet is not realistic. With HaulKorea, the useful window is inspection: if a brand sent the wrong design or a damaged item, we take it up with the seller before export. See our refund policy.

Sizing is about paper formats. Korean planners come in A5, A6, B6, and brand-specific "handy" or "slim" sizes, and ring binders differ in hole count. Check dimensions in millimeters on the listing before buying refills for a binder you already own.

Customs depends on the destination. For the US, the $800 duty-free exemption for small parcels was suspended on August 29, 2025. HaulKorea orders to the US include duties in the price, with nothing to pay on delivery. For other countries, duties and taxes are not included and the recipient pays them.

FAQ

Does 10x10 ship internationally?

Its help pages describe delivery within Korea only. We found no international shipping service or global site.

Can I pay on 10x10 with a foreign Visa or Mastercard?

No. According to 10x10's FAQ, all overseas-issued cards have been suspended since March 23, 2023.

Can I sign up with Google or Apple instead of a Korean phone?

Those login options exist, but the FAQ says membership requires identity verification with a Korean mobile number.

Why are there several shipping fees in one 10x10 order?

Many products ship from the brand itself, and each brand sets its own fee and free-shipping threshold. Buying more from fewer brands lowers the total.

What does 10x10 mean?

It is read "tenbyten." In Korean it is written 텐바이텐, which is the name to search for if you are looking for Korean reviews.

Are Korean diaries usable if I do not read Korean?

Mostly yes. Many use English month and weekday labels, and undated (만년형) planners have none at all. Check the inside-page photos on the listing.

Can I combine 10x10 with other stores in one shipment?

Yes. HaulKorea can hold orders at the Korean warehouse and send them together. Stationery pairs well with small items from Daiso Korea.
