What is Musinsa Standard?

Musinsa Standard is a private brand (PB, 자체상표) made and sold by Musinsa itself. The brand's own description on Musinsa says it aims for modern basic casual wear, and that a simple distribution structure lets it sell good-quality products at reasonable prices.

Musinsa lists 2017 as the brand's starting year. On the Korean site the brand runs a main shop and a separate women's shop, Musinsa Standard Woman (무신사 스탠다드 우먼), with its own size runs.

How big is it offline?

Bigger every year. Korean tech outlet Byline Network reported in February 2026 that Musinsa Standard had 34 offline stores at the end of 2025: 33 in Korea and one in China. The company's 2026 goal was to add more than 20 stores and reach 60 in total across Korea and abroad, with new stores in Shanghai and Hangzhou. It also set a target of ₩1 trillion in combined online and offline sales for the year.

What are "hidden banding slacks"?

히든 밴딩 (hidden banding) means a waistband with elastic hidden inside, so the slacks look tailored but stretch at the waist. This one product line is the reason many people know the brand. It comes in many cuts: semi-wide, wide, real wide, tapered cropped, relaxed tapered cropped and a lightweight version. A Coolstandard (쿨탠다드) version made for summer lists at ₩59,900.

Sweatshirts and tees

The plain Sweatshirt lists at ₩29,900 and the Hooded Sweatshirt at ₩39,900, as of October 2026. The Oversize Sweatshirt lists at ₩39,900. New FW26 additions include the Henley Neck Sweatshirt and the Quarter Zip Sweatshirt at ₩49,900 each.

Tees are often sold in packs. The Relaxed Fit Crew Neck T-Shirt 2-pack and the Basic Crew Neck T-Shirt 2-pack list at ₩31,800, and a 3-pack of Basic Crew Neck T-Shirts at ₩47,700.

Denim

What does Musinsa Standard sell for winter?

Collaborations

Musinsa Standard also runs collaborations. On the Korean site in October 2026 there was a Champion collaboration (the Luna Dyed Curved Sweat Pants list at ₩79,900), and a collaboration labeled 알레산드로 푼제티 (Alessandro Pungetti), such as the Abyss Cargo Pants at ₩109,900. How does Musinsa Standard sizing work?

It depends on the category:

Musinsa notes that measurements may differ by about 2 cm depending on how they are taken. The fit tag on this product is "regular".

Sizing tips:

1. Measure flat. Lay your best-fitting pants flat and measure straight across the waist. Compare with the "Waist, flat" column.
2. Mind the length. Korean basics are often cut for the average Korean height. Total length on these slacks is 103 to 106 cm. If you are tall, look at the 10부 (sip-bu, full-length) versions or check the length column.
3. Read reviews with body stats. Korean reviews on Musinsa often list the reviewer's height, weight and size bought. Browser translation makes these easy to use.
4. Elastic gives some room. Hidden banding stretches, so if you are between sizes the smaller one may work. Check the hip measurement too.

How does delivery work in Korea?

The Semi-Wide Hidden Banding Slacks product data on Musinsa shows 플러스배송 (peulleoseu baesong, Plus Delivery): orders placed by 10 p.m. are released that day, and the page showed next-day arrival within Korea. For this product the listed round-trip return shipping fee is ₩6,000, with extra fees for Jeju and remote areas.

Musinsa's change-of-mind returns run on a 7-day basis in Korea. The clock starts on delivery to the Korean address. If you use an agent or forwarder, that is the warehouse, so check size and color in the inspection photos while there is still time.

Is Musinsa Standard cheap to ship?

Mostly yes. Slacks, tees, socks and belts are light and pack flat. A pair of slacks and a few tees fit in a small box.

Coats and down jackets are another story. A wool blend coat is heavy, and a down jacket is light but bulky. Down compresses well; wool does not. Because the brand's prices are low, shipping can be a big share of the total on a small order. Ordering several basics at once, or combining them with other Korean shopping, spreads the cost.

Do you pay customs on Musinsa Standard?

United States. Duty-free de minimis treatment for low-value parcels has been suspended for all countries since August 29, 2025. A February 2026 executive order kept the suspension, and the Court of International Trade upheld it on August 13, 2026. A law passed by Congress repeals the exemption from July 1, 2027.
