Korean Pokémon Cards: Sets, Prices and How to Buy (2026)
Korean-language Pokémon cards are published in Korea by Pokémon Korea (포켓몬코리아), which runs the official Korean card game site and the Pokémon Store online shop. Koreans buy them from that store, from convenience stores and card shops, and on resale apps. A box of the MEGA expansion "30th CELEBRATION" lists at ₩70,000 but traded around ₩110,000 on KREAM in October 2026. Buyers abroad usually get them through resale or an agent.
This guide covers the current Korean sets, what they cost at list price and on resale, how the lottery and convenience store sales work, whether Korean cards are tournament legal, and how to order from outside Korea.

Who makes Korean Pokémon cards?
Korean-language cards are produced for the Korean market by Pokémon Korea, the company named in the footer of both the official card game site and the Pokémon Store online shop. The card game site carries news, product information, rules, a card search, deck recipes, events and tournament notices, all in Korean.
The card designs and set structure follow the same game as the Japanese and English releases, but sets can arrive under Korean names and on Korean schedules. The 30th CELEBRATION set is an exception: Pokémon Store's product page says it launched on September 16, 2026 as a "worldwide simultaneous release."
What are the current Korean Pokémon card sets?
The official card game site's news list shows the release pattern for the second half of 2026:
| Date of notice | Product | Note |
|---|---|---|
| August 11, 2026 | MEGA expansion 「스톰에메랄다」 (Storm Emerald) | Announced as an August release |
| August 11, 2026 | Magikarp Special Set (잉어킹 스페셜 세트) | Card game accessory set |
| July 31, 2026 | Online-only sets: "Adventure Begins" (Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle) and "Dimension: Mew & Mewtwo" | Sold online only |
| September 14 and 22, 2026 | MEGA expansion 「30th CELEBRATION」 | Lottery, then "on sale now" |
| September 23, 2026 | MEGA Starter Set ex, three kinds | September release |
| October 14, 2026 | 「30th CELEBRATION FUTURISTIC BOX」 | Lottery schedule announced |
Names here are translations of the Korean notice titles. Check the official news page for exact product names before you search for them.
What is in 30th CELEBRATION?
According to Pokémon Korea's lottery notice and the Pokémon Store product page:
- Each pack holds 6 cards, all holo, packed at random.
- Every pack contains one 30th anniversary Pikachu card.
- A box holds 20 packs, 120 cards in total.
- In the lottery sale, the set was sold by the box only, not as single packs.
Segye Ilbo reported on October 9, 2026 that the set includes 30 different Pikachu holo cards and a new rarity called FUR (Futuristic Rare), and that each pack also includes a basic energy card. Because one box has only 20 packs, a single box cannot contain all 30 Pikachu cards, and duplicates happen.
How much are Korean Pokémon cards?
List price. For 30th CELEBRATION, the official price was ₩70,000 per box with free shipping in the Pokémon Store lottery sale. Segye Ilbo gave the pack price as ₩3,500.
Resale price. Korean resale prices for hot sets run well above list. These were the KREAM "buy now" prices on October 15, 2026:
| Product on KREAM | Price (as of October 2026) |
|---|---|
| 30th CELEBRATION 1 box, 20 packs, Korean | ₩110,000 |
| Same box, unshrinked ("논 슈링크"), Korean | ₩101,000 |
| Same box, Japanese | ₩257,000 |
| 30th CELEBRATION 4 boxes, Korean | ₩439,000 |
| 30th CELEBRATION FUTURISTIC BOX, Korean | ₩296,000 |
| FUTURISTIC BOX, Japanese | ₩600,000 |
| Mew ex FUR single card, Korean | ₩39,000 |
| Pikachu ex SAR single card, Korean | ₩45,000 |
Two things stand out. First, a Korean box resold for less than half the price of the Japanese box. Second, the resale premium on the Korean box was large compared with its ₩70,000 list price. Segye Ilbo also reported boxes listed around ₩120,000 on secondhand apps such as Karrot.
Buying in bulk did not lower the per-box price much. KREAM also listed bundles of Korean boxes: 4 boxes at ₩439,000 (about ₩109,750 a box), 8 boxes at ₩887,000 (about ₩110,900 a box) and 30 boxes at ₩3,300,000 (₩110,000 a box). So a bundle mostly saves you the trouble of several separate purchases, not money.
Single cards are a different market. The two Korean singles in the table cost less than half a box each, so if you only want one card, buying it alone is usually cheaper than opening packs and hoping.
Resale prices move every day, especially in the first months after a release. Treat these as a snapshot.
Why do people buy Korean cards?
From what the prices show, buyers abroad usually pick Korean cards for one of three reasons:
- Price. For the 30th CELEBRATION set, Korean boxes resold for much less than Japanese ones.
- Collecting by language. Some collectors want one copy of a card in each language.
- Korea-only products. Pokémon Korea sells some products only online in Korea, such as the July 2026 online-only sets above.
Where do Koreans buy Pokémon cards?
The Pokémon Store lottery
New hot sets often go through a 추첨 (chucheom, lottery) on Pokémon Store. For 30th CELEBRATION, the notice set the entry window from 10:00 on September 8 to 23:59 on September 13, 2026, with winners contacted on September 14.
The rules in that notice matter for anyone abroad:
- Membership required. You must be a Pokémon Store online member, and each person may enter with one account only.
- One entry per person. Using several accounts or someone else's account can disqualify you and block future entries.
- Winners pay within a deadline. Unpaid wins are cancelled.
- No transfer or resale of the right to buy. If a winner is found trying to transfer or sell the purchase right, the win can be cancelled.
- Shipped alone. Lottery boxes ship individually and cannot be combined with other products.
- No exchanges for duplicates. The notice says packs are random, the same card can come out repeatedly, and exchanges and refunds are difficult for that reason.
Because the right to buy belongs to the person who entered, nobody can win a lottery on your behalf. A purchasing agent cannot enter Pokémon Store lotteries for you.
Convenience stores
Segye Ilbo reported that Korea's three big convenience store chains started selling 30th CELEBRATION in October 2026:
- 7-Eleven: sales began October 1; about 80% of the first shipment sold within five days.
- GS25: took orders from October 6 with a per-store limit, with deliveries in stages.
- CU: took advance orders per store from October 7, with arrival in stores on October 24.
Convenience store stock is sold in person in Korea. It is not something an overseas buyer can order online.
Official card shops and events
The official site lists 포켓몬 카드샵 (Pokémon Card Shop) locations, with a Gangneung opening announced on September 4, 2026, and a Cheonan opening schedule change on July 23. It also announces tournaments, such as the 2027 Korean League and a Storm Emerald release tournament. These are in-person channels.
Resale apps
KREAM, Bunjang and Karrot are where Koreans trade boxes and single cards after release. KREAM inspects items it sells through its platform. See our KREAM guide and Bunjang guide for how each works.
What Korean words appear on Pokémon card listings?
Korean listings pack a lot into the title. These terms come up on KREAM, Bunjang and store pages:
| Korean | Romanization | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 포켓몬 카드 게임 | poketmon kadeu geim | Pokémon Card Game (printed on Korean packs) |
| 확장팩 | hwakjangpaek | Expansion pack |
| 한글판 | hangeulpan | Korean edition |
| 일어판 / 영문판 / 중문판 | ireopan / yeongmunpan / jungmunpan | Japanese / English / Chinese edition |
| 박스 / 팩 | bakseu / paek | Box / pack |
| 논 슈링크 | non syuringkeu | No shrink wrap |
| 싱글 | singgeul | Single card |
| 추첨 | chucheom | Lottery |
| 절찬 판매중 | jeolchan panmaejung | On sale now |
| 스타터세트 | seutateo seteu | Starter set |
| 품절 | pumjeol | Sold out |
Rarity codes such as SAR, AR, RS and FUR appear in Latin letters on Korean listings. On KREAM, single cards are named with the Pokémon, the rarity code and "30주년 기념" (30th anniversary) for this set, for example "뮤 ex FUR 30주년 기념 (한글판)."
When you search, combine the set name with the edition: "30주년 기념팩 한글판 박스" finds Korean boxes and filters out the Japanese and English ones, which can cost twice as much.
Can you buy Korean Pokémon cards from outside Korea?
Yes, but mostly through the resale market, because the official first-hand channels are lotteries tied to a person, in-person convenience stores and card shops.
Here is how the routes compare:
| Buy direct | You buy, we ship (package forwarding) | We buy for you (HaulKorea) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pokémon Store lottery | Korean membership; one person, one account | Only if you hold the account and won | No, entries are personal |
| Convenience store stock | In person in Korea only | No | No |
| KREAM listings | Korean app and payment | Only if you can pay in Korea | Yes, from the link you send |
| Bunjang listings | Korean app and payment | Possible with Korean payment | Yes, from the link you send |
| Photos before shipping | No | Depends on the service | Yes, inspection photos |
| Combine with other Korean items | No | Often | Yes, in one box |
Our article on purchasing agents vs package forwarding explains the two models.
Are Korean Pokémon cards legal in tournaments?
It depends on the event and your home country.
Under the Play! Pokémon rules update for Q4 2024, Regional and Special Championships became exceptions to the legal languages clause. At those events, and at International and World Championships, competitors can use English cards and cards in the language of their home country. The same update noted that full translation teams can only be expected at the World Championships.
So, for a player from the US or the UK, Korean cards are generally not a language you can use at those championships. A Korean player can use Korean cards there. Local or third-party events may set their own rules.
If you plan to play competitively, check the current Play! Pokémon rules and the event's own announcement before buying a Korean deck. For collecting, language rules do not matter.
How to order Korean Pokémon cards through HaulKorea
- Decide what you want. A sealed box, a single card, or an accessory. Write down the set name in Korean if you can, for example "30주년 기념팩 한글판."
- Find the listing. Use KREAM, Bunjang or another Korean store, and confirm it says 한글판 (hangeulpan, Korean edition), not 일어판 (Japanese) or 영문판 (English).
- Check sealed or not. "논 슈링크" (non-shrink) means the box has no shrink wrap from the factory. Decide whether that matters to you.
- Send us the product link. Add the quantity and any condition notes.
- Review one total before paying. You see the item price, Korean delivery and international shipping together, and pay once with PayPal. If the real weight is lower, we refund the difference, and there is no second charge.
- We buy in Korea. Resale listings can sell out in minutes, so a price can change before we order. We tell you if it does.
- Check the inspection photos. We photograph the box or card at our warehouse before shipping. Look at the shrink wrap, corners and edition label.
- Add other items if you want. Sleeves, binders or K-pop merch from other Korean stores can share the box.
What we will not do
- Enter Pokémon Store lotteries for you.
- Open sealed boxes to check contents.
- Grade or authenticate single cards. Our photos show condition; they are not an authenticity appraisal.
How do you avoid fake or tampered Korean Pokémon products?
Popular sets attract fakes and resealed boxes. Some basic checks:
- Prefer platforms that inspect. KREAM says it inspects items under its own inspection standards.
- Check the edition label. The box and packs should say 포켓몬 카드 게임 in Korean, with the set name and the MEGA logo for current sets.
- Be careful with "non-shrink" boxes. They are not fake by definition, but they are easier to tamper with. Price them accordingly.
- Compare prices. A Korean box far below the going rate on KREAM is a warning sign.
- Ask for photos of singles. Front, back, corners and surface under light.
Our guide on avoiding fake Korean products has more general checks.
Do you pay import tax on Pokémon cards from Korea?
That depends on your country and the order value.
United States. U.S. Customs and Border Protection suspended duty-free de minimis treatment for low-value shipments from all countries starting August 29, 2025. For US orders through HaulKorea, duty is not included in the total; the recipient pays it to the carrier or postal service on delivery. Our US import duty guide has more.
Other countries. The recipient pays local VAT or GST and any duty when the parcel arrives, and the carrier may add a handling fee. Declare the real purchase price. A ₩110,000 resale box is valued at what you paid, not the ₩70,000 list price.
Is buying Korean Pokémon cards worth it?
Yes, if:
- You collect by language or want Korean-only promos and sets.
- You want sealed boxes of a set where Korean resale is cheaper than Japanese.
- You are already shipping other things from Korea.
Think twice, if:
- You want to play at championships outside Korea. Language rules may not allow Korean cards.
- The Korean resale premium is high right after release. Compare the list price with the resale price before you buy.
- You want a specific single. Buying that card alone is cheaper than opening boxes for it.
