Starbucks Korea's 2026 holiday season starts with its winter e-frequency (e-프리퀀시), which runs October 22 to December 31, 2026. Buy 17 handcrafted drinks, three of them mission drinks, and you can reserve a Moleskine 2027 planner, a LEXON portable speaker or a bag. The gifts are reserved in the Korean app and picked up at a store in Korea, so buyers abroad usually get them secondhand or through someone in Korea.

What is the Starbucks Korea winter e-frequency?

The e-frequency (이프리퀀시, i-peurikwensi) is Starbucks Korea's sticker-card promotion. Every handcrafted drink you buy with your Starbucks Korea membership earns one e-sticker in the app. Some drinks are named "mission drinks" and earn mission stickers. Once you have 17 stickers, including 3 mission stickers, you can reserve one gift.

The winter edition is the big one. Its main prize has long been the next year's planner, and Koreans treat it as a year-end ritual. In 2022, Starbucks Korea described its planner event as reaching its 20th anniversary, according to Asia Economy.

The rules have stayed close to the same for several years. The 2024 and 2025 winter events also asked for 17 drinks with 3 mission drinks, and both used the app's mobile reservation system for pickup.

What does change every year is the gift lineup and the partner brands.

The 2026 event starts about a week earlier than in 2025 and more than a week earlier than in 2024.

What is in the 2026 Starbucks Korea planner lineup?

Korean news reports from October 15, 2026, describe the following gifts. Starbucks Korea's slogan for the season is 스타벅스와 함께 머무는 순간들 ("moments that stay with Starbucks").

Moleskine planners. Two versions: a daily planner printed with 2027 dates, and an undated planner where you write the dates yourself. Reports did not give the colors when we checked, so look at the app or the store page before you decide.

LEXON "Mino T" portable speaker. Comes in green or pink. It has a loop so it can hang from a bag, and two units can be paired for stereo sound. Retail listings for the Mino T describe an 800 mAh rechargeable battery, USB-C charging, Bluetooth 4.2 and a weight of about 125 g. That battery matters for shipping, which we cover below.

Bags. A corduroy backpack, reported in ivory and green, and a canvas tote.

Add-ons. A mini note keyring and a book cover. These need more drinks on top of the 17 needed for the main gift.

Starbucks Korea also runs a double reward from October 22 to 25. Anyone who picks up a planner in those four days gets one more undated planner or one mini note keyring, first come, first served.

Reports framed the 2026 lineup as more practical than past years, with fewer novelty items. Compare that with 2025, when the MSGM blankets and humidifiers were the headline items.

What changed after the cancelled 2026 summer event?

This winter event comes after an unusual year. Starbucks Korea had planned a 2026 summer e-frequency for June 2 to July 26. It first delayed the event, then told staff on July 13 that it would not run it at all. A spokesperson told SBS Biz that the company would make restoring customer trust its top priority and focus on improving internal systems. Korean media connected the decision to public criticism of earlier marketing campaigns.

So the winter event is the first e-frequency of 2026, and Starbucks Korea has made several changes to how reservations work:

• Reservation cancellation waitlist (예약 취소 대기). For some gifts and pickup dates, you can join a waitlist that opens at 7 a.m. Cancellation notices go out at 3 p.m., and the waitlist request is valid until midnight that day. When someone cancels, the slot goes to the next person in line.
• In-app defect reports. If a gift has a quality problem, you can request an exchange in the app and track its status there.
• Per-account limit. Each ID can reserve up to 5 gifts in a 7-day window, counting the first reservation.

All gifts are limited and reserved first come, first served by store and date. When they run out, you receive a beverage coupon instead. Korean reports for 2024 and 2026 both describe three tall-size drink coupons as the substitute.

When does Starbucks Korea release Christmas merchandise?

As of October 15, 2026, Starbucks Korea had not announced its 2026 Christmas drinks or holiday MD (merchandise, called MD in Korea). We will not guess at the products. Here is what happened last year, which gives a rough calendar.

In 2025 the November 28 lineup included 12 "Delight" goods (tumblers, mugs and flasks), gift chocolate and cookie tins, and a limited random puzzle given with purchases of ₩30,000 or more.

Two things follow from this. First, the e-frequency planner arrives before the Christmas MD, so if you want both, you may be looking at two separate purchases a month apart. Where is Starbucks Korea merchandise sold online?

This is the part that matters most if you live outside Korea. There are two very different kinds of items.

E-frequency gifts are not sold. The planner, speaker and bags are rewards for drink purchases. Reports on the 2026 event describe only sticker-based reservation, with pickup at a Korean store. There is no "buy the planner" button in the announcements we read.

Regular and seasonal MD is sold online, but inside Korea. For the 2025 Christmas "Delight" goods, Maeil Shinmun listed these sales channels:

All of these are Korean domestic channels. They generally need a Korean account, often with 본인인증 (bon-in injeung, identity verification) through a Korean phone, and they deliver to Korean addresses. Starbucks Korea is run by SCK Company, in which E-Mart holds a 67.5% stake. It had 2,114 stores at the end of 2025. Its products, promotions and app are separate from Starbucks in the US or Japan, and a Starbucks Korea card balance works only in Korea.

How can you get a Starbucks Korea planner from abroad?

There are three realistic routes.

1. Someone in Korea collects it. A friend or relative with a Starbucks Korea account buys the drinks, reserves the gift and picks it up. This is how most Koreans get theirs. Then they send it to you, or send it to a purchasing agent's warehouse to ship with other things.

2. Buy secondhand in Korea. Every winter, e-frequency stickers, completed sticker cards and finished gifts show up on Korean secondhand apps. In 2022, Asia Economy found single stickers selling for about ₩1,000 each and completed 17-sticker sets for roughly ₩17,000 to ₩29,000 on Karrot Market and Bunjang. Those are 2022 figures, not current prices. A completed sticker set does you no good abroad, because it lives in a Korean app account. What you want is the finished planner or speaker, sold as an item.

3. Use a purchasing agent for listed items. If the item is listed for sale on a Korean store or a secondhand app, an agent can buy it, receive it and ship it. That works for Christmas MD sold online and for gifts resold by individuals. It does not work for collecting e-stickers on your behalf.

Can you ship a Starbucks Korea speaker overseas?

Planners, bags, keyrings, mugs and tumblers are ordinary goods for shipping. The LEXON Mino T speaker is different, because it contains a rechargeable lithium battery.

Carriers and destination countries treat lithium batteries differently. Some accept batteries packed inside equipment under set conditions, some services refuse them, and rules for air shipments change. Read what you cannot ship from Korea, and ask us before you order the speaker.

Food items such as the Christmas cookie tins and ornament chocolates fall under food import rules in your country. Ask before you order those too.

It depends on what you want from it. The Starbucks planner is a collector's item as much as a planner. Its value comes from the brand, the yearly design and the Moleskine partnership.

If you just want a good Korean planner for 2027, Korean stationery brands sell dated and undated planners directly, without the drink requirement or the secondhand markup. A few practical points:

• Dated vs undated. The 2027 daily planner is only useful for 2027. The undated version works any year, which also makes it a safer secondhand buy later.
• Language. Korean planners often include Korean public holidays and lunar dates. Check sample pages if that matters to you.
• Timing. Planner demand peaks in the first weeks. Prices on resale apps tend to be most volatile then.

What else do Koreans buy at Starbucks for Christmas?

Based on 2025, the year-end Christmas lineup in Korea mixes drinks, cakes and goods:

• Seasonal drinks. In 2025, Winter Scotch Vanilla Latte and Toffee Nut Latte launched October 30, and Classic Vin Chaud Hibiscus Tea and Chamomile Honey Tea Latte arrived later in the season.
• Christmas cakes. Sold in stores and as gifts. Some were sold in limited numbers through KakaoTalk Gift.
• Tumblers, mugs and flasks. The "Delight" goods in 2025 numbered 12 items.
• Gift tins. Ornament chocolates, gingerbread cookie tins and cookie baskets.
• Instant coffee. In 2025, a 40-stick Starbucks VIA Christmas Blend was released online.

What can go wrong?

Sold-out gifts. Every gift is limited and reserved by store and date. Popular colors go first. Have a backup color.

Fake or used items sold as new. On secondhand apps, ask for photos of the actual item. Our inspection photos let you check before the item leaves Korea.

Wrong year. Many older Starbucks Korea planners are still listed for resale. Check that the listing says 2027 if you want the dated version.

Battery rules. The speaker may not be shippable on every route. Ask first.

Return rules. Secondhand purchases from individuals in Korea are generally final. Returning a store purchase from abroad is slow and costly. Check sizes and condition before you order.
